Thank you so much for your interest in an organization we truly love.
Let me share with you a little of their story, but I do encourage you to visit their site to learn more.
A Relief Nursery is a combination of services proven to help reduce the incidence of child abuse and neglect by helping to reduce the stress in overwhelmed parents' lives while helping them understand just how fun parenting can be -- and just how important their parenting role is!
Research shows Relief Nurseries keep children safe, prevent them from going into Foster Care, and keep parents from being incarcerated. The evidence-based practices used in these programs also prepare children for school. The ages of children served range from 18 month through 5 years. Interventionists who work with children in the classroom also visit families in their homes to share information on where there their child is developmentally, and how they can help their child learn through positive engagement and play. Interventionists help parents set goals for their family and their children.
All families enrolled are invited to participate in monthly family connection events. These gatherings center around themes with helpful information, but parents also take comfort in knowing other parents face similar struggles. These help to create a support network.
